COMMAND SIGNALS
Deep thoughts to understand the situation, shape conditions and execute with clarity.
UNDERSTAND, SHAPE, EXECUTE
An outline of my framework.
-
Effective leadership under pressure begins with clarity. I help leaders build a deep, accurate understanding of what’s happening now - and what’s likely to happen next. This means developing situational awareness, reading behavioural cues, recognising emerging risks, and interpreting organisational dynamics before they become critical. Leaders learn to see patterns, anticipate pressure points, and make sense of complexity rather than react to it. This is the foundation of all high‑quality decision‑making.
-
Once leaders understand the environment, they must be able to shape it. This involves shifting how people think, feel, and act through purposeful influence. I teach leaders how to communicate with precision, frame decisions effectively, and create conditions where teams can perform at their best. Drawing on behavioural science and adapted military command principles, leaders learn how to guide perceptions, build alignment, and influence behaviour in ways that strengthen resilience and momentum - especially when stakes rise.
-
Insight and influence only matter if leaders can convert intent into action. I help leaders execute decisively and sustain progress when conditions get tough. This includes disciplined decision routines, pressure‑ready behaviours, and the ability to maintain momentum through uncertainty, change, or crisis. Leaders learn how to act with clarity, adapt quickly, and reinforce the behaviours that keep teams moving forward. Execution is where leadership becomes visible - and where enduring behaviours are built.
THE BEHAVIOURAL A3E
This re-engineered version of the military A3E framework functions as a structured pre‑mortem and a way of understanding a complex human terrain. It focuses on understanding the intentional behaviours which cause social and cultural failure, with an analysis that shapes direct interventions to defeat ‘the enemy’.
